Geneva Sue Craig Smith
of Knob Creek, Arkansas
Geneva Sue Craig Smith, daughter of the late Troy Hayden Craig and Mary Pearl Byler , was born May 16, 1943 in Lunenburg, Arkansas. She departed this life April 9, 2026 at her home in Knob Creek, Arkansas at the age of 82. She was united in marriage to Noel Lawrence Smith January 19, 1962 in Melbourne, Arkansas and together they raised three children. Geneva spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend. She enjoyed traveling with her family, and friends. Although she worked all her life, she was known for working in the lunchroom of Melbourne School system for over 30 years, feeding several generations of students. Geneva also drove a school bus route for many years. She retired in 2000.
Geneva is survived by three children: Pam Smith of Mountain View, Sandy Finley and husband Tom of Bonetown, Bobby Smith of Stuttgart; one brother: Paul Craig of Mountain Home; two sisters Bunny Price of Hollister, Missouri, Mary Estes of Calico Rock; two grandchildren: Chelsea Finley Howard (Tyler) of Melbourne, Taylor Finley (Sloan) of Calico Rock; two great grandchildren: Townes Seay and Roan Noel Finley; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Troy and Pearl Craig; her husband: Noel Smith; one brother: Charles Craig and one brother-in-law: Roe Price.
Visitation and funeral service will be Tuesday, April 14 at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Funeral service with Donald Gillihan officiating will begin at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Knob Creek Cemetery.
