Gary Speck Gilbert

Of Melbourne, Arkansas

Gary Speck Gilbert, son of the late Houston Clenton Gilbert and Lula Mae Aycock Gilbert, was born November 1, 1950 in Sulphur Springs, Louisiana. He departed this life May 22, 2020 at his home in Melbourne, Arkansas at the age of 69 years, 6 months and 21 days. He spent his life as loving son, brother, father, grandfather, provider and friend. Gary worked as a logistics engineer with Pioneer Natural Resources. He retired after 50 years of oil field related work.

He is survived by two sons: Sean Gilbert and wife Christy and Matthew Lance Gilbert all of Texas; three grandchildren: Britten Christopher Gilbert, Katie Lauren Gilbert, Michael Josef Clenton Gilbert and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial service will be held at a later date.
