Gary Leroy George

Of Mountain Home, Arkansas

Gary Leroy George was born May 1, 1953 in Newport, Arkansas.  He departed this life July 14, 2022 at his home in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 69 years, 2 months and 13 days. He was raised by his devoted grandmother:  Claudia Williford George.   Gary spent his life as a loving son, brother, grandson, father and friend.  Gary had a love for the Arkansas outdoors and its beauty, so much that he made landscaping his life's work.  He never missed an opportunity to take a drive thru the hills to see the lakes or rivers.

He is survived by three children:  Tera L. Davis and husband Scott of Hot Springs, Tina Cole and husband Mark of Mountain Home and Brandon George and wife Candice of Melbourne; three sisters:  Kathy Pendergraft of Oklahoma, Helen Massey of New Mexico and Yolanda Cheek of Russellville; six grandchildren: Ann Davis,  Robert Ellis, Tyler Cole, Bailey George, Shelbey Cole,  Bradley George, Lexi Bruyette and Lillie Kay George; two great great grandchildren:  Carson and Cayden Cole and a host of other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandmother:  Claudia George.

Graveside funeral service will be Monday, July 18 at 2:00 p.m. at Maple Springs Cemetery in Oil Trough.
