Garry William Duggins
Of Wideman, Arkansas
Garry William Duggins, son of the late Odus Jake Duggins and Hazel Mitter Knight Duggins, was born December 30, 1941 in Gassville, Arkansas. He departed this life June 16, 2024 at his home in Wideman, Arkansas, surrounded by his family, at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 16 days. Garry was a proud 1959 graduate of Mountain Home High School. He was united in marriage to Ida Ann Killian December 30, 1961 in Calico Rock and together they raised two children. Garry served in the National Guard. Most of his working years were spent at GTE Electronics. He started out as an installer and worked his way up to a supervisor and later to a cable splicer. He retired after 31 years of employment. He was active in the masonic lodge and earned a 32 Master Mason Degree. In addition, he was a Shriner. Garry enjoyed fishing on the lake. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of First Baptist Church in Calico Rock.
Garry is survived by his wife of 62 years: Ida Ann Duggins of the home; one daughter: Kelli Jo Gray and husband Ricky Dean of Pineville; sister-in-law: Peggy Hall of Melbourne; two brothers-in-law: Jerry Killian of Mountain Home and Roy Killian of Wideman; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son: William Van Duggins; one sister: Betty J Kellum; three brothers: E. J. Duggins, Estel Duggins, Buddie Duggins; two brothers-in-law: Andy Killian and Leonard Kellem and his mother-in-law: Viola Schulz Killian.
Visitation and funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 19 at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Burial with Masonic honors will follow at Pineville Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Kenneth Killian, Kent Killian, Roy Killian, III, Bradley Duggins, Luke Duggins, Jonathan Duggins.
Honorary Pallbearers: Ricky Gray, Roy Killian, Jr., Kenneth McCurley and George Clark.
