Karen Gail Rush Gilliland

Of Dolph, Arkansas

Karen Gail Rush Gilliland, daughter of the late Boyce Rush and Dolores Stanley Rush, was born April 7, 1955 in Little Rock, Arkansas.  She departed this life June 25, 2026 at the age of 71 years.  She was a lifelong resident of Izard County.  She graduated from Melbourne High School and went on to become a nurse.  In addition to being a nurse she also worked at Boeing Aircraft in Melbourne.  She was united in marriage to James Gilliland February 2, 2002 in Dolph, Arkansas.  She was a member of New Hope Church of God in Brockwell.

Gail is survived by two sons:  Chris Coleman and wife Heather of Batesville, Matthew Coleman and wife Kimberly of Dolph; three brothers:  Jerry "Bo" Rush of Calico, Larry "Butch" Rush of Melbourne, Paul David Rush of Salesville; one sister:  Carol Debbie Sanders of Melbourne; grandchildren:  Alec Tullis Coleman, Whitney Coleman, Caden Coleman, Isaac Coleman, Malachi Coleman, Cassidy McHalffey; step grandchildren:  Kevin Behm, Carey Coleman, Jacob Turner; great grandchildren: Harleigh, Skyleigh, and Alara; step great grandchildren:  Amalia;  daughter-in-law:  Kristina Coleman of Brockwell and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son:  Joseph Coleman, two brothers:  Mike Rush, Terry Rush; one nephew:  Joshua Sanders.

Graveside funeral service will be Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at 10:00 a.m at Jones Cemetery with Wade Moser officiating.

Pallbearers:  Nick Rush, Elijah Rush, Chris Goodrich, Jared McHalffey, Austin Newman, Rory Bell.
