Freddie Lee Shrable

Of Violet Hill, Arkansas

Freddie Lee Shrable, son of the late Rex Lee Shrable and Mabel Vionia Waggoner Shrable, was born June 23, 1936 in Violet Hill, Arkansas.  He departed this life June 5, 2022 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 85 years, 11 months and 13 days.  He was a graduate of Violet Hill High School.   He was united in marriage to Wanda Gillihan February 21, 1969 and together they raised one son.  Freddie spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend.  He was employed first by McDonnell Douglas and later Boeing Aircraft, retiring after many years of employment. Early in life, Freddie enjoyed many different hobbies. Bowling, hunting, and fishing were some of his favorites. On Friday nights, you could catch him dancing the night away with his beloved Wanda. Later in life, Freddie spent his time doting on his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He attended countless birthdays, holidays, parties, and ball games of all the kids. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Violet Hill, Arkansas.

He is survived by one son:  Steven Shrable and wife Joann of Violet Hill; one sister:  Catherine Grills and husband Norris of Violet Hill; two granddaughters:  Brittany Baird and wife Kristin of Melbourne and Stephanie Henry and husband Brandon of Scott Air Force Base in Illinois; four great grandchildren:  Sebastian Briggs, Qhuincey Briggs, Chase Henry and Peyton Henry and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife:  Wanda Gillihan Shrable and one brother:  Windell R. Shrable.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 7 from 6-8 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.  Funeral service will be Wednesday, June 8 at 10:00 a.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.   Burial will be at Violet Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers:  Kim Yancey, Toby Trivitt, Roger Gillihan, Tim Shrable, Don Grills, Doyle Weaver.

Honorary Pallbearers:  Sebastian Briggs, Chase Henry, Brandon Henry, Qhuincey Briggs and Peyton Henry.
