Floyd Junior Blankenship

Of Calico Rock, Arkansas

Floyd Junior Blankenship, son of the late Reuben Jasper Blankenship and Alma Lorene Owens Blankenship, was born November 1, 1938.  He departed this life June 9, 2023 at his home in Calico Rock, Arkansas.  He was united in marriage to Sandra Kay Douglas June 4, 1966 in Calico Rock, Arkansas and together they raised two children.  Floyd spent his life as a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend.  Most of his working years were spent at the Glove Factory in Calico Rock.  He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Mountain View.

Floyd leaves to mourn his passing; two children:  Mark Blankenship and wife Samantha of Calico Rock and Penny Clark of Lonoke; six grandchildren:  Dustin Clark, Kasey Clark, Emily Clark, Leah Blankenship, Matthew Blankenship, and Heather Blankenship; six great great grandchildren:  Emma Clark, Chloe Clark, Ainsley Eifling, Braxton Blankenship, Brycen Blankenship, Kingston Hise and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one granddaughter:  Mandi Clark and son-in-law:  Derwin Clark.

Visitation will be Monday, June 12 from 6-8 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.  Funeral service will be Tuesday, June 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.  Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
