Floy Jackson "Jack" Morgan

Of Melbourne, Arkansas

Floy Jackson "Jack" Morgan, son of the late James Garland Morgan and Emma Tatum Morgan, was born December 23, 1926 in Oxford, Arkansas.  He departed this life August 17, 2022 in Searcy, Arkansas at the age of 95 years, 7 months and 25 days.  Jack left high school land enlisted in the United States Army just at the end of World War II.  After serving in the Army, he came home and was united in marriage to Burl E. "B E" Hall Morgan August 19, 1949 and together they made their home in Izard County. Jack spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, stepfather, uncle, provider and friend.  Most of his working years, were spent farming.  He worked taking care of his chicken laying houses and raising cattle.  He was of the Church of Christ faith and a member of Millcrest Church of Christ.

Jack is survived by one stepson:  Robert Gifford of Melbourne; one sister:  Wanda "Billie" Lee of Horseshoe Bend; four step grandchildren:  Jennifer Gifford Helms of Russellville, Juliet Gifford of Idaho, Laurie Gifford of Melbourne and Lorraine Johnson of Nevada; numerous step great grandchildren and great great step grandchildren; four nieces:  Shirley Hill, Dottie Harris, Linda Sue Terry and Emma Faye Creighton; one nephew:  Eddie Morgan; one step daughter-in-law:  Pam Gifford of Texas and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one stepson:  Gary Gifford; one sister:  Lavoun Reeves; one brother:  James Morgan; two step grandchildren:  Gary Blane Gifford, Terri Kennedy; one step daughter-in-law:  Diane Gifford.

Visitation and graveside funeral service will be Saturday, August 20.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.  Graveside funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Oxford Cemetery.

Pallbearers:  Jonathan Hill, Timmy Hill, Ronald Hill, Derek Hill, Harold Carpenter, Dennis Wilson.

Honorary Pallbearers:  Orbra Ward, David Gillihan, John Teague, Jim Muncy, Jay Ward and Bucksey Harmon.
