Obituary

Etta Jean McSparren, 72, a life-long resident of Melbourne (Lunenburg), Arkansas departed this life on
Saturday, October 3, 2020, in CHI St. Vincent Infirmary of Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born in
Batesville, Arkansas to Floyd E. & Gertie (Gibson) McSparren, of Melbourne (Lunenburg), Arkansas on
October 17, 1947.
Etta Jean loved the great outdoors; she loved to fish, hunt, and she loved to visit and hang out with her
Izard County friends and family. She was a former attendee of Melbourne High School of Melbourne,
Arkansas before she decided to go to work on the farm at Lunenburg with her parents who had cattle
and horses at the time.
Etta Jean was a long-time member of Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant, Arkansas. She
was a bible-believing Christian lady who forever longed to witness the rapture and the return of our
Lord Jesus Christ.
Etta Jean was preceded in death by one older infant sister, Virginia Jane McSparren (b. 1946); her
parents, grandparents, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins all from Izard County, Arkansas. She is
survived by one daughter, Jennifer (McSparren) Jungers and her husband, Donald "George" Jungers of
Bradford, Arkansas; one grandson, Ethan "Ty" Grimes of Guion, Arkansas; one granddaughter, Ashley
Grimes of Melbourne, Arkansas; and a huge host of family and friends.
Funeral arrangements are by Eddie's Family Funeral Home of Melbourne, Arkansas; with Bro. Shepherd
of Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church officiating.
Pallbearers include Ty Grimes, Kenneth Harvell, Junior Ray Caraway, Kirk Miller, Jerry Blankenship, John
David Miller, Delmus Johnson, and L. Gray Dellinger.
Honorary pallbearers include Carol Wood, Aulanda (Wilson) McFarland, Reba Gaye Tate, Frankie Haley,
Jenice Haley, Johnna Collins, Phyllis Harmon, Dale Harmon, Teresa Whitehurst, Michelle Smith, Wayne
Crosby, Melanie Crosby, and Jeff Moser.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 6 at 2:00 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.  Burial is at the Lunenburg Cemetery of Lunenburg (Melbourne), Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church, PO Box 81, Mt.
Pleasant, Arkansas 72561.
