Ethel Janice Jones

Of Melbourne, Arkansas

Ethel Janice Jones, daughter of the late Spellman Jones and Faye Taylor Jones, was born August 15, 1947 in Melbourne, Arkansas.  She went to be with the Lord December 16, 2025 in Ash Flat, Arkansas at the age of 78.  She was a 1965 graduate of Melbourne High School.  After high school, she moved to Kansas City and began her career in banking.  Upon returning home to Melbourne, she continued her career at Bancorp South, retiring after many years of employment. She loved to laugh and spend her free time with a book in her hand.  She spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend and loved by all that knew her.

She is survived by two nephews: Jeffrey Jones of Kansas City, Missouri and Steve Jones and wife Denise of Melbourne; one sister-in-law:  Ruth Jones; one great nephew Dalton Grigg and wife Jamie and their family: Harper Cotter and Hadleigh Grigg; one great niece:  Jennifer McIntosh and family: Chord McIntosh, Riggs and Dax McIntosh and a host of other relatives and many good friends.   She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers:  James Jones, William Jones and one great nephew:  William Steven Jones.

Visitation will be Friday, December 19 at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne from 1 -2 p.m.  Private burial will follow.
