Eric Lane Stowers

Of Calico Rock, Arkansas

Eric Lane Stowers, son of Elizabeth Ann Shaver Johnson and the late Jimmie Wayne Stowers, was born January 4, 1968 in Kansas City, Missouri.  He departed this life June 21, 2023 at his home in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 55 years and 17 days.  He was a heavy equipment operator by trade and the owner and operator of Stowers Excavation. Eric learned the value of hard work by working hard.  He spent his life as a loving, son, brother, father, grandfather, provider and friend.  He attended New Hope Christian Fellowship Church.

Eric is survived by one son:  Tyler Wayne Stowers of Calico Rock; his mother:  Ann Johnson of Mount Pleasant; his companion:  Sandy Sneathern; one sister:  Lania Majors of Kansas City, Missouri; one grandson:  Holden Wayne Stowers; his uncle:  Carroll Stowers and wife Linda of Kansas City, Missouri; his friend:  Ryan Summers and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by his father; one brother:  Bradley Wayne Stowers; paternal grandparents:  Fred and Mable Marchant Stowers; his maternal grandparents:  Mellie Moser Shaver; his uncle:  Leroy Shaver.

Visitation and funeral service will be Monday, June 26 at New Hope Christian Fellowship Church in Calico Rock with Wade Moser officiating.  Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m.  Burial will follow at Staggs Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.
