Edward Herbert Luedtke

Of Violet Hill, Arkansas

Edward Herbert Luedtke, son of the late Herbert Edward Luedtke and Rose Amelia Sirny Luedtke, was born January 2, 1928 in Mosinee, Wisconsin. He departed this life May 9, 2020 at his home in Violet Hill, Arkansas at the age of 92 years, 4 months and 7 days. He was united in marriage to Eileen Allana Leech and together they four children. Edward proudly served over 20 years in the United States Navy, Merchant Marines and Military Sealift Command.

He is survived by one son: Lance Luedtke of Violet Hill; three daughters: Melthia "Thia" Heil of Wausau, Wisconsin, Monteen "Monti" Ahrens of Maple Grove, Minnesota and Lane Erin Bahr and husband Gene of Wausau, Wisconsin; nine grandchildren: Allana Lee, Londa Rae Drake, Ben Heil (Lisa), Adam Heil (Hannah), Austin Ahrens (Christie), Preston Ahrens, Collin Ahrens, Jarred Bahr and Gavin Bahr; six great grandchildren: Brooklyn Luedtke, Athena Luedtke, Andrew Luedtke, Charlotte Heil, Celia Heil and Jonathan Ahrens; one great granddaughter: Teagan Drake and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two brothers: Donald Luedtke, Norman Luedtke; one sister: Virginia Kaskavitch; one daughter-in-law: Andrea "Andy" Luedtke and one son-in-law: Dale Ahrens.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
