Edna May Vannatter Luster
of Jordan, Arkansas
Edna May Vannatter Luster, daughter of the late Buck Vannatter and Ader Sexton Vannatter, was born December 12, 1947 in Marked Tree, Arkansas. She departed this life May 5, 2026 at her home in Jordan, Arkansas at the age of 78 years, 04 months and 23 days. She was united in marriage to Odale Luster August 8, 1964 and together they raised four children. Edna spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend. Most of her working years were spent at Baxter Lab in Mountain Home, retiring after 29 years of employment.
Edna is survived by three sons: Allen Luster and wife Amy of Mountain Home, Michael Luster and wife Candie of Calico Rock, Chad Luster and wife Maranda of Mountain Home; one sister: Shirley Tunnicliff of Optimus; nine grandchildren: Amanda Brown (Anthony), Cassandra Hackworth (Michael), Tiffany Johnston (Aarron), Lauren Luster, Michael O. Luster, Chase Luster(Abbi), Wyatt Black, Paige Cone, Dylan Laxton; seven great grandchildren: Angel Brown, Keeley Brown, Mark Brown, Remington Hackworth, Makenzie Hackworth, Klaire Johnston, Xavier Johnston; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter: Michelle Lee; seven siblings; one infant granddaughter: Cheri Campbell.
Visitation and graveside funeral service will be held Friday, May 8, 2026 at Optimus Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Graveside funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Marty Sanders officiating.
Pallbearers: Michael O. Luster, Chase Luster, Wyatt Black, Michael Hackworth, Anthony Brown, Aarron Johnston.
