Edith Inez Acklin Pierson

Of Wichita, Kansas

Edith Inez Pierson, daughter of the late Benjamin F. Acklin and Mary A. Deal Acklin, was born March 3, 1929 in Wiseman, Arkansas.  She departed this life June 15, 2021 at her home in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 92 years, 3 months and 12 days.  She was united in marriage to Willard Pierson and together they raised two children. Inez spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend.  She was of the Methodist faith.

Inez is survived by her husband:  Willard Pierson of the home; one son Jimmy Pierson and wife Beth of Belle Plaine, Kansas; one daughter:  Regenia Unrein of Haysville, Kansas; one sister:  Joyce Lee of Conway, Arkansas; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren and a  host of other relatives and many good friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister:  Juanita Lewis and one brother:  Pete Acklin.

Visitation and graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, June 19.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m to 1:30 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.

Graveside funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. at Violet Hill Cemetery.
