Dorothy Nell Martin Pinkston

Of Calico Rock, Arkansas

Dorothy Nell Martin Pinkston of Calico Rock was born March 21, 1934 to George E and Nellie J. Admire Martin.  She moved to her heavenly home March 25, 2023 at the age of 89 years and 4 days.  She was united in marriage to Thearl J. Pinkston April 3, 1952 and to this union two children were born. Dorothy spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker, excellent cook and friend.  During her working years she was  employed by Baxter Lab in Mountain Home for 17 years, Calico Rock School Cafeteria for 14 years and many local restaurants. She will be missed but since cooking was her passion, Heaven is probably being served a feast.

Dorothy is survived by one daughter:  Velda Dixon of Calico Rock; three grandchildren: Tony Chism of Fayetteville; Tracy Tucker and husband Jack of Caraway and James Pinkston and wife Sarah of Flippin; six grandchildren:  Brittany, Bethany, Brandon and Brycen Tucker of Caraway, Ian and Emma Pinkston of Flippin; a special caregiver:  Pam Coyle of Marshall and a host of extended family and many good friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son:  James Leland Pinkston; two brothers:  Carl Martin and Carson Martin and three sisters:  Georgia, Esta Lee and Flora.

Visitation and graveside funeral service will be Monday, April 3 at Table Rock Community Building and Cemetery in Culp with Donald Gillihan officiating.  Visitation will begin at the Community Building at 1:00 p.m.  Graveside funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m.

Pallbearers:  Tony Chism, James Pinkston, Ian Pinkston, Brandon Tucker, Brycen Tucker, Brittany Tucker, Bethany Tucker, Jack Tucker and John Villneff.
