Donna Laine McCollum Blankenship

Of Melbourne, Arkansas

Donna Laine McCollum Blankenship, daughter of Betty Jo Davidson McCollum Loggains and the late Don Doyle McCollum, was born September 1, 1952 in Wenatchee, Washington.  She departed this life March 1 at her home in Melbourne. Donna was united in marriage to Bob Blankenship June 19, 1970 and together they raised three children.  Donna spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend.  Most of Donna's working years were spent at Boeing Aircraft, retiring after many years of employment.  She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Belview Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years:  Bob Blankenship of the home; one daughter:  Lesha Watson and husband Michael of Ash Flat; two sons:  Brad Blankenship and wife Casey of Newport and Kevin Blankenship and wife Katelyn of Bartlett, Tennessee; her mother:  Betty Joe McCollum Loggains of Melbourne; one sister:  Phyllis Harmon and husband Bucksey of Melbourne; seven grandchildren:  Abbey (Marcus) Orf, Andrew (Sara) Haley, Will Watson, Madyson Blankenship, McKenna Minor, Isabella Blankenship and Miles Blankenship; two great grandchildren:  Hudson and Hadley Orf; two nieces:  Tess (Toby) Weatherford and Tara Jo (Braden) Tate and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  She was preceded in death by her father.

Visitation and funeral service will be Saturday, March 4 at Belview Baptist Church in Melbourne.  Visitation will be held 10 – 11 a.m.  Funeral service will begin at 11:00 with Doyne Robertson officiating.  Burial will follow at Old Philadelphia Cemetery.
