Derwin Walter Clark

Of Lonoke, Arkansas

Derwin Walter Clark, son of the late L. H. Clark and Evalina Smith Clark, was born August 27, 1961 in Mountain Home, Arkansas.  He departed this life January 22, 2023 in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 61 years, 4 months and 26 days.  He was united in marriage to Penny Blankenship June 20, 1987 and together they raised three children.  Derwin spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, uncle,  father, grandfather, provider and friend.  Most of his working years were spent in construction as a roofer and plumber.  He was a member of the Church of the Latter-Day Saints.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years:  Penny Clark of the home; one son:  Dustin Clark of Calico Rock; two daughters:  Kasey Clark of Cabot and Emily Clark (Ryan Eifling) of Brookland; one brother:  Leo Clark of Redfield; one sister:  Norma Lee Baker of Oklahoma; four grandchildren:  Emma Clark of Sherwood, Elizabeth Dauria of Sherwood, Chloe Clark of Little Rock and Ainsley Eifling of Brookland and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter:  Mandy Clark; one brother:  Gale Clark and three sisters:  Bonnie Cantrell, Ruby Britt and Anna Bates.

Visitation and funeral service will be Friday, January 27 at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.  Visitation will be 11:00 – 1:00 p.m.   Funeral service begins at 1:00 p.m. with Brad Shelton officiating. Burial will follow at Galatia Cemetery.
