David Lee Harmon

Of Jonesboro, Arkansas

Formerly of Melbourne, Arkansas

David Lee Harmon, son of the late Lee Hayden Harmon and Claire Merle Conyers Harmon, was born October 12, 1945.  He departed this life October 12, 2025 in Jonesboro, Arkansas at the age of 80.  David was united in marriage to Sandra Monroe July 1, 1966 in Bakersfield, California and together they raised four children.  David worked as a carpenter, building houses.  He worked at Miller's Warehouse for several years.  After moving to Jonesboro, he was employed as a carpenter for Arkansas State University. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Belview Baptist Church in Melbourne.

David is survived by three children:  Terri Armstrong and husband Greg of Locust Grove, Sherri Breckenridge and husband Houston of Beedeville, Mike Harmon and wife Shannon of Southfork, Missouri; a daughter-in-law:  Missy Harmon of Southfork, Missouri; three sisters:  Opal Stroud of Melbourne, Shirley Stroud of Melbourne, Gladys Eisenbran of Marysville, Washington; eight grandchildren:  Baylee Hayden (Dustin), Ragen Bell (Charley), Chase Armstrong, Mackenzie Harmon, Mason Armstrong, Hayden Whitehead (Chase), Gracie Harmon, Cruz Harmon; eight great grandchildren:  Jameson Armstrong, Parker Hayden, Kaisley Armstrong, Tripp Bell, Avery Bell, Jaxie June Bell, Leighton Hayden, Lainey Kaye Brooks; his beloved dog Jake; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one son:  Keith Harmon, three brothers:  J. B. Harmon, J. C. Harmon, Charles Harmon; two sisters:  Lydia Hutchins, Minnie Crotts.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 15 from 6-8 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.   Funeral service will be Thursday, October 16 at 2:00 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.  Burial will follow at Combs Cemetery in Melbourne.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to:  ICARE, 214 Circle Drive, Melbourne, Arkansas 72556.

Pallbearers:  Cruz Harmon, Charley Bell, Dustin Hayden, Chase Whitehead, Mason Armstrong, Chase Armstrong, Tripp Bell, Jameson Armstrong.

Honorary Pallbearers:  Harmon nieces and nephews.
