David Carl Graham

Of Melbourne, Arkansas

David Carl Graham, son of the late J. Dempsey Graham and Willa Mae Cooper Graham, was born April 3, 1955 in Sacramento, California. He departed this life October 15, 2024 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 69 years, 6 months and 12 days.  He was united in marriage to Susan McClellan May 31, 1974 and together they raised two children. David lived his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend. Most of his working years were spent at Baxter Lab in Mountain Home, retiring after 28 years of employment. He was also employed by the Arkansas Highway Department. David had a heart for animals, especially his three dogs. In his younger years David loved hunting and fishing. He was especially happy teaching his son how to deer hunt and how to properly handle a gun along with a lot of help from his uncles and cousins. In his later years he loved what he called wheeling and dealing and was always looking for a project to work on in his workshop. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years:  Susan Graham of Melbourne; one son:  Shane Graham (Kristy) of Gassville; one daughter:  Samantha Acklin (Scott) of Mountain Home; one brother:  Gary Graham (Pat) of Melbourne; two sisters:  Judy Caraway of Russellville, Jody Kever (Brian) of Melbourne; eight grandchildren:  Haley Acklin, Kennedi Palmer, Makaden Norman, Mason Walker, Benjamin DeVore, McKenzie Graham, Chance DeVore, Baylee Graham; four great grandchildren:  Addisyn Acklin, Stella Stapleton, Otto Stapleton, Amari Walker; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one nephew:  Danny Graham; his sister-in-law:  Rebecca Cotter; a brother-in-law:  Dale "Pete" McClellan and his in laws:  Billy Joe and Billie Joe McClellan.

Visitation and graveside memorial service will be Saturday, October 19 at Knob Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m.   Graveside memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m.
