David Allen Goodrich

Of Melbourne, Arkansas

David Allen Goodrich, son of the late Roy Lamson Goodrich, Sr., and Lorraine Rose Goodrich, was born February 2, 1949 in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico.  He departed this life May 18, 2020 in Batesville, Arkansas at the age of 71 years, 3 months and 16 days. David spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, uncle, father, grandfather, provider and friend. David proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He received an honorable discharge after 12 years of service.  He was united in marriage to Jacqueline Sue White December 31, 1984 in Palm Springs, California and together they raised five sons. Most of his working years were spent as a diagnostic engineer on HVAC systems, retiring after 34 years. He was a member of Melbourne Community Church.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years:  Jackie Goodrich of Melbourne; five sons:  Kirk Alan Hutchinson of Salem, Anthony Wayne Hutchinson and wife Rebecca of West Plains, Missouri, Adam Wade Pinkston of Melbourne, Christopher Lamson Goodrich and wife Amanda of Searcy and Rocky Jedediah Green and wife Mary Ann of Murphy, North Carolina; one brother:  Roy Lamson Goodrich, Jr., and wife Harriett of Long Beach, California; 12 grandchildren: Cole Goodrich, Dolores Goodrich, Ariana Goodrich, Sebastian Lancelotti, Anthony Htuchinson II (Bailey), Sara Lehr (Cody), Carley Hutchinson, Lindsey Hutchinson, Baylee Hutchinson (fiancee` Gaige Moss, Sadie Hutchinson, Wendy Hutchinson, Elizabeth Hutchinson; 4 great grandchildren: Reign and Rhea Lehr, Jaylee Hutchinson and C J Shaw; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by one daughter:  Wendy Marie Goodrich and one sister:  Madelyn Wesneski.

Graveside funeral service will be held, Thursday, May 21 at 3:00 p.m. at Flat Rock Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
