David Calvin Benge

Of Calico Rock, Arkansas

David Calvin Benge, son of the late Oliver Calvin Benge and Ethel Irene Creech Benge, was born August 7, 1957 in Monterey, California.  He departed this life May 22, 2023 in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 65 years, 9 months and 15 days.  David spent his life as a son, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend.  Most of his working years were spent as a handyman and doing small engine repairs.

He is survived by three sons:  Patrick Campbell and wife Priscilla of Gassville, Jeremy Campbell and wife Courtney of Norfork and Chris Benge of Horseshoe Bend; two brothers:  Robert Benge of Watsonville, California and George Benge of Hixson, Tennessee; two sisters: Sally Boyster of Salinas, California and Virginia Stickler of Idaho; six grandchildren:  Rashan Campbell, Alyssa Campbell, Emma Campbell, Carter Campbell, Jaxon Campbell and Jace Campbell; one great grandson:  Leon Campbell and a host of other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial bike ride in his memory will be Sunday, June 4th at 1pm starting at Norfork dam riding to Melbourne then Sylamore via Hwy 9 then back up 5 through Calico Rock and Norfork ending back at Norfork Dam
