Obituary

Darrell Edward Morehead, son of the late Howard Edla Morehead and Sylvia Lovelace Morehead, was born January 29, 1957 in Wideman, Arkansas. He departed this life August 28, 2018 at his home in Brockwell, Arkansas at the age of 61 years, 7 months and 27 days. He was a lifelong resident of Izard County. He was united in marriage to Kathleen Sanders December 31, 1995 and together they raised five children. He spent his life as a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend. During his working years he was employed for 15 years at Color Tile Flooring Mill.

He is survived by his wife: Kathleen Morehead of the home; one son and two stepsons: Timothy Morehead of Kentucky, Shannon White and wife Wendy of Mountain Home, Travis White and wife Cathy of Brockwell and; one daughter and one stepdaughter: Candace Morehead of Kentucky and Pam Washington of Oxford; one brother: Carrell Morehead and wife Margaret of Oxford; two sisters: Geneva Martin and husband Bill of El Paso, Arkansas and Kathryn Rush and husband Butch of Melbourne; fourteen grandchildren: Jordan, Morehead, Colby Morehead, Cheyanne Young, Abby White, Caden White, Jaden White, Alyssa Belyea, Sophie Belyea, Johnny Ross, Jacob Morehead, Tyler Washington, Ashley Tanner, Amanda Tanner; six great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son: Corey Morehead.

Memorial service will be Saturday, September 1 at 10:00 a.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne with Wade Moser officiating.
