Darlene Madonna McDonald Whatley

Darlene Madonna McDonald Whatley, daughter of the late James Barney McDonald and Dorothy Jean Price McDonald, was born February 19, 1963 in Chicago, Illinois. She departed this life May 3, 2020 at her home in Melbourne, Arkansas at the age of 57 years, 2 months and 14 days. She was united in marriage to Donald Whatley August 5, 2004. Darlene spent her life as loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker and friend. Most of her working years were spent as a housekeeper and cook. She was of the Jehovah Witness Faith and a member of Kingdom Hall in Melbourne.

She is survived by her husband of 16 years: Donald Whatley of the home; one son: Nathan McDonald of Chicago; three daughters: Tonya McDonald of Horseshoe Bend, Krystal McDonald of Carbondale, Illinois and Nancy McDonald of Chicago; three stepchildren: Belinda Whatley of Anchorage, Alaska, Christopher Whatley of El Campo, Texas and Patricia of Murfeesboro, Tennessee; two brothers: Jim McDonald and John McDonald both of Mountain Home; seven grandchildren; seven step grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister: Nancy McDonald.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
