Danny Lee Beebe

Of Oxford, Arkansas

Danny Lee Beebe, son of the late A C Beebe and Georgia Montgomery Beebe, was born May 5, 1951 in Jonesboro, Arkansas.  He departed this life June 14, 2021 at his home in Oxford, Arkansas at the age of 70 years, 1 months and 9 days.  He was united in marriage to Miriam Eileen Falb June 20, 1982 and together they raised two children. Danny graduated from Arkansas State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Education.   He went on to teach elementary school in Mountain Home and Calico Rock.   Danny spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, provider and friend.   Danny was a member of the Calico Rock Fire Department and served as Fire Chief for many years.  After retiring from the fire department, he went to work with the City of Calico Rock. Danny was involved the exchange student program and hosted 12 students from various countries since 2006. He loved to travel and was able to travel overseas to visit several of the students. Danny also taught Hunter Education Classes.  He was of the Church of Christ faith and a longtime member of Melbourne Church of Christ, where he served as a Deacon for many years.

Danny is survived by two children:  Katie Gilbert and husband Brandon of Oxford and Acy Timron Beebe and wife Iris of Batesville; one brother:  Billy Beebe and wife Peggy of Palmer, Alaska; five grandchildren:  Abigail Gilbert, Grace Gilbert, Ashlyn Beebe, Emerson Beebe and Brighton Beebe and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

The family is planning a celebration of life to be held in October.
