Damian Allen Taurone
Of Calico Rock, Arkansas
Damian Allen Taurone, son Wayma Jean Brandon Taurone and the late Dominic Joseph Taurone, was born April 10, 1959 in Greenville, Mississippi. He departed this life December 3, 2023 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 64 years, 7 months and 23 days. Damian was a 1977 graduate of Calico Rock High School and went on to graduate from Ozarka Technical College with an Associate Degree. In 1987 he married Marsha Watters and together they started a family. Damian spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, provider and friend. He was employed at Baxter Lab as a Boiler Sterilizer Technician, retiring after 37 years of employment. After retiring from Baxter Lab, he became a rural contract carrier at United States Postal Service. In October 2003, he was united in marriage to Myra Vannatter until her death in 2017.
Damian is survived by one son: Samuel Taurone of Mountain Home; two daughters: Amber Brondhaver and fiancé Marcus Harris of Cotter and Windy Burgess of Alabama; seven siblings: Donnie (Kathy Jean) Taurone of Mountain View, Mark (Cindy) Taurone of Roseville, California, John Anthony (Bobbye) Taurone of Dover, Tim "Bones" (Sandy) Taurone of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Alicia (Dale) Goodson of Calico Rock, Donald (Hein) Lyons of Boston, Massachusetts, Donna Taurone of Alaska; two grandchildren: Will Chorba, Camelia Teely; special friend: Kathy Killian of Calico Rock and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his father; one brother: Peter Taurone and his second wife: Myra Vannatter Taurone.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 6 from 6-8 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Funeral service will be Thursday, December 7 at 12:00 p.m. at Grace Fellowship Church in Dolph with Jamey Cowgill officiating. Burial will follow at Optimus Cemetery.
