Dallas Leon Moser

Of Melbourne, Arkansas

Dallas Leon Moser, son of the late Arville Escrow Moser and Vida Gerturde Rush Moser, was born January 10, 1932 in Red Hill, Arkansas.  He departed this life June 6, 2025 in Melbourne, Arkansas at the age of 93.  Dallas was a 1950 graduate of Melbourne High School.  He was a telegraph operator for the railroad when he was drafted into the army during the Korean War, and served in combat with the 25Th Infantry Division, 8th Field Artillery as a forward observer. After his honorable discharge, Dallas married marcia Jo Lawson and they made their home in Colorado. He went to work for Colorado Fuel and Iron, retiring after sixteen years of employment. After the death of his first wife Marcia in 1969 he moved back to Arkansas and married his second wife Shelly Ellifritz in 1971.  While living in Arkansas, he worked as a carpenter and owned and operated the Safari Café.

In 1980 they moved to Roll, Arizona, where he owned and operated a general store and post office until he retired in 1996.

Dallas is survived by his wife of 54 years:  Shelly Moser of Melbourne; one son:  Jeff Moser of Melbourne; two brothers:  Hank Moser and wife Faye and L. D. Moser and wife Ann all of Melbourne ;One sister, Ann Clavey of Melbourne, and numerous grandchildren, including Lindsey Moser, Austin Moser, Missy Ellifritz, Nathan Giarratano, Ryan Edens; Tasha Rojas: Frank Vigil: Alex Craig" several great grandchildren; one aunt Betty Jo Bray-Evans of Mount Pleasant; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter: Carla Edens; three stepdaughters: Debbie Craig, Mistie Hickson and Tracy Ellifritz and four siblings:  Vonetta Moser, Wanda Ree Moser and Lloyd Moser, Almedia Moser Gaston; and two brothers-in-laws; Rex Gaston; Jack Clavey.

Burial will be in the veteran's cemetery in Springfield, Missouri. The family will be having a private memorial service at a later date.

Cremation arrangements by Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
