Dale Dwayne Ivie

Of Melbourne, Arkansas

Dale Dwayne Ivie, son of the late Irvan Cleo Ivie and Rebel Deliah Moody Ivie, was born January 7, 1937 in Crossroads, Arkansas. He departed this life September 12, 2020 at his home in Melbourne, Arkansas at the age of 83 years, 8 months and 5 days. He was united in marriage to Joy Rodman until her death in 1995. Later he married Margaret Hurdle. Dale spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, uncle, father, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend. Most of his working years were spent as a car salesman and farmer. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Wises Chapel Baptist Church.

He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Rod and Louanne Ivie of Cabot; two daughters: Tami Ivie Langston of Melbourne and Jaime Silas and husband Dale of Melbourne; two brothers: Gayland Ivie (Maryanne) of Melbourne and Rayburn "Oggie" Ivie (Linda) of Batesville; three sisters: Joyce Hensley of Bexar, Betty Love (Doyle) of Guion and Martha Tyson (Glen) of Bexar; five grandchildren: Talisha Sharp, Whitney Silas, Alex Davis, Angelia Eagle Bear, Mary Ivie; seven great grandchildren: Keelin Sharp, Paizleigh Rogers, Kade Holman, Bryson Sanchez, Aiden Eagle Bear, Cora Womack and Kirby Ivie; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relative and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two wives; one sister: Mary Edith Whiteaker and one grandson: Zackery Ivie.

The family will be directing a graveside memorial service at Wises Chapel Cemetery on Wednesday, September 16 at 2:00 p.m.
