Curtis Delano Mason

Of Calico Rock, Arkansas

Curtis Delano Mason, son of the late James Lewis Mason and Audie Pearl Gillihan Mason, was born November 19, 1933 in Gorby, Arkansas.   He departed this life October 27, 2021 in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 87 years, 11 months and 8 days.  Curtis spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, uncle, provider and friend.  Most of his working years were spent at Hayes Flooring and Glove Factory in Calico Rock.  He was united in marriage to Helen Pierce in 1984 and together they moved to Batesville, where he was employed with the Batesville School District.  He was of the Baptist faith

Curtis is survived by two sisters:  Evelyn Blankenship of Gorby and Shirley Hall of Vilonia; two nieces and two nephews:  Tamra Bevil, Dave Blankenship, Kevin Hall and Angie Swaim and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Graveside funeral service will be Friday, October 29 at 2:00 p.m. at Palestine Cemetery in Gorby, Arkansas with Chris Anderson officiating.  Arrangements by Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.
