Connie Jean Light

of Mountain Home, Arkansas

Connie Jean McGowen Light, daughter of the late Charles Lee McGowen and Carol Kay Allen McGowen, was born February 13, 1969 in Mountain Home, Arkansas.  She departed this life January 28, 2026 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 56. Connie spent her life as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, homemaker and friend.  Before becoming ill, she worked at Baxter Lab, leaving after 18 years of employment.  She was united in marriage to Johnny Light August 24, 2012 and together they made their life in Mountain Home.  She was a member of Pleasant Valley Community Church.

Connie is survived by her husband of 13 years:  Johnny Light of the home; six daughters:  Terri Sisk of Mountain Home, Alisa Obletz of Bentonville, Carri Sisk of Mountain Home, Payton Light (Jeremiah Jones) of Farmington, Paxton Bester (J. J.) of Fifty-six, Cambria Light of Mountain Home; one brother:  Greg McGowen (Missy) of Pineville, two sisters:  Cathy Staley (Matt) of St. Louis, Missouri, Angelia Roberts of Detroit, Michigan; aunt:  Oleta Martin and husband Kent and son Brandon of Culp and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, January 31 at 11:00 a.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock with Monty Neal officiating.

Honorary Pallbearers:  Randy Partee, Jody Cox, Roy Killian, Shawn Findley.

After the memorial service, the family will be receiving friends and family at the main historic hardware building, formerly Perryman Hardware, on Main Street, Calico Rock.
