Cleon "Chick" Edmonston
of Pineville, Arkansas
Cleon "Chick" Edmonston, son of the late Tom Edmonston and Dollie Engles Edmonston White, was born September 4, 1940 in Melbourne, Arkansas. He departed this life September 26, 2019 in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 79 years and 22 days. He was united in marriage to Sharon (Kay) Fountain on February 5, 1965 and together they raised three children. Chick proudly served in the United States Army. He was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. He spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend. Most of his working years he spent as a self employed upholster. He took great pride in recovering furniture, boat seats and vehicle upholstery. Chick enjoyed hunting, playing poker and visiting with his friends at Watson's Station. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years: Sharon ( Kay) Edmonston; two sons: Eddie Edmonston and Brad Edmonston all of Pineville; two sisters: Nelda Hinson of Wynne and Linda Johnson of Richmond, Virginia; eight grandchildren; David Edmonston, Miranda Jarosz, Terri K Edmonston, Amber Shaw, Bradley Edmonston, Kentessa Edmonston, Colten Foster and Keaton Edmonston; twelve great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter: Lisa Edmonston Shaw Foster; one brother: G. A Edmonston; four sisters: Tommie Dean Edmonston (infant sister), Joann Ellis, Hazel Jean Bergman and Betty Sherrill.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 29 from 6-8 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Funeral service will be Monday, September 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.
Honorary Pallbearers: Jess Watson, Carl Scott, David Brown, Johnny Owens, John McDonald, Dean Lilly, Marvis Sherrill, Ronnie Fountain, Roger Fountain, David Bailey, Colten Foster, Bruce Shaw and David Edmonston.
