Charlotte Ann Majors Sharp

of Melbourne, Arkansas

Charlotte Ann Majors Sharp, 83, of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away on April 18, 2026. She was born June 11, 1942, in Monette, Arkansas, to the late J. C. Majors and Elwanda Hope Chipman.

Charlotte graduated from Melbourne High School with the Class of 1960. On June 6, 1959, she united in marriage to Samuel Eugene Sharp, and together they raised three children.

Charlotte dedicated more than 30 years of service as an assistant and appraiser with the Federal Housing Authority before retiring. Following her retirement, she continued to pursue her passion for sewing by working part-time at Lambs Home Center. A woman of strong faith, Charlotte was a devoted member of Melbourne United Methodist Church. She faithfully served her church as a pianist and Sunday School teacher and was instrumental, alongside her husband Sam, in establishing and supporting the church's Backpack Program. Charlotte loved being with her family and church family.

Charlotte is survived by two children, Alisa Sanders and husband Jimmy of Melbourne, and John Sharp and wife Tanya of Lowell; daughter-in-law, Angie Sharp of Melbourne; three brothers, Ed Majors of Melbourne, Junior Majors and wife Gay of Bandmill, and Jake Majors and wife Kathleen of  Shreveport, LA;  five grandchildren, Meghan Murray (Conor), Haley Tyler (Cory), Anna Kay Sharp, John David Sharp II, James Sharp; two great grandchildren,  Reid Tyler and Remi Kate Tyler;  along with numerous nieces and nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Samuel Eugene Sharp; her son,  Samuel Eugene Sharp Jr.; and special aunt, Betty Thompson.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 26 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.  Graveside funeral service will be Monday, April 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Melbourne Cemetery with Bill Grothe officiating.

Memorials may be made to Melbourne United Methodist Church, Backpack Program, 233 North Lunen Street, Melbourne, Arkansas.

Pallbearers:  Wade Gathright, Wayne Harris, Jason Majors, James Sharp, John David Sharp II, Cory Tyler.

Honorary Pallbearers:  Deanie Ray Floyd, Arnold Harris, Dean McDonald, Bob Ramsey.
