Charles "Charlie" Moreland Eldridge

Of Calico Rock, Arkansas

Charles "Charlie" Morehead Eldridge, son of the late Boyd and Olive Hodges Eldridge, was born May 25, 1952 in Bauxite, Arkansas.  He departed this life February 13, 2022 at his home in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 69 years, 8 months and 19 days.  Charlie was proud to have served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He was united in marriage to Brenda Maxwell December 7, 1985 at Piney Creek, Arkansas and together they raised their family.  Charlie spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, uncle, father, grandfather, provider and friend. He was of the Baptist faith. In his words…. I do not hold any thing against anyone and hope that no one holds anything against him.  He enjoyed his life on Piney Creek with his family and friends.  He enjoyed his work as an engineer that stabilized river banks.  After he was gone, he wanted all of his family to gather and bury him and get back to work.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years:  Brenda Eldridge of the home; two sons:  Max Browning and wife Michelle of Dolph, Aaron Browning and wife Amanda of Calico Rock; one brother:  Steve Eldridge and wife Judy of Calico Rock; two sisters:  Beth Eldridge-Coley and husband Tom of Mountain Home and Jan Best and husband Lewis of Springdale; six grandchildren:  Chandler Browning, Lillian Browning, Jackson Browning, Alex Browning, Audric Browning and Trey Fox and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside funeral service will be held Monday, February 14 at 1:00 p.m. at Palestine Cemetery, 3890 Gorby Road, Calico Rock, Arkansas with Aaron Browning officiating.
