Cecil Warren Gay, of Melbourne, Arkansas, passed away peacefully August 27, 2026. Born on December 25, 1945. Cecil will be remembered for his quick wit and his ability to make people laugh. He loved sharing jokes and stories, often with a mischievous sense of humor that made him unforgettable to those who knew him. He lived life on his own terms, and family and friends will cherish the laughter, conversations, and memories they shared with him. Cecil proudly served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the Baptist faith.

Cecil was the son of David Hiram Gay and Stella Edeker Gay and was preceded in death by his parents and his eleven siblings.

He is survived by his children, grandchildren, extended family members, and many friends who will cherish his memory. Among those left to honor his life are his children, Renée Langdon, Blair Cone, Amanda Gay, Bentley Gay and grandchildren Taylor Langdon, Ryan Langdon, Austin Koonce, and Kage Dockins.

Graveside funeral service will be Tuesday, September 1 at 10:00 a.m. at Melbourne Cemetery with Dennis Gay officiating.
