Carolyn Gaye Sartin Pate
Of Melbourne, Arkansas
Carolyn Gaye Sartin Pate, daughter of Zena Ray Colter Sartin and the late Ralph Timothy Sartin, was born August 13, 1958 in Batesville, Arkansas. She departed this life January 26, 2022 in Sikeston, Missouri at the age of 63 years, 5 months and 13 days. Carolyn attended Ozarka College and earned her LPN. She worked in numerous hospitals, nursing homes and home health before retiring. She was united in marriage to Henry Pate May 22, 1992 in Melbourne and together they raised four children. Carolyn spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker, co-worker and friend. Her most cherished title was that of "CaCa" to her grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was a gifted artist and talented seamstress, specializing in quilting. Carolyn enjoyed riding and caring for her horses. She was of the Baptist faith.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 29 years: Henry Pate of Melbourne; two sons and two daughters-in-law: Aaron and Kristal Reeves of Grove, Oklahoma and Chris and Lucy Pate of Brandon, Mississippi; two daughters and two sons-in-law: Monica and Greg Jeffery of Morrilton, Arkansas and Jennie and Rodney Rodgers of Tupelo, Mississippi; her mother: Zena Ray Sartin of Melbourne; nine grandchildren: Isaiah Glasser, Gracie Glasser, Gwen Jeffery, Paige Reeves, Lily Reeves, Caleb Rodgers, Braydon Pate, Layney Pate and Ethan Pate; one sister-in-law: Darlene Sartin of Melbourne; one nephew: Dennis Sartin of Melbourne; three great nieces: Brooke (Ricky) Kimble of Melbourne, Amy Lee Sartin (fiancé Treston Jones) of Baytown, Texas and Hadli Sartin of Melbourne; one great great nephew: Kolin Kimble and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her father; one brother: Larry Wayne Sartin and one granddaughter: Chloe Rodgers.
Visitation will be Friday, January 28 from 6-8 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Funeral service will be Saturday, January 29 at 2:00 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Burial will be at Combs Cemetery.
