Carolyn Sue Ivey Darnell

Carolyn Sue Ivey Darnell, daughter of the late Clyde Ivey and Lelah Maedean Dobson Ivey, was born March 9, 1948 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. She departed this life December 21, 2018 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 70 years, 9 months, and 12 days. She was united in marriage to Willie Darnell May 22, 1965 and together they raised two children. Carolyn spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend. She loved to travel and was an excellent baker. She was of the Baptist faith.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 54 years: Willie Darnell of the home; one daughter: Regana Rapp of Brockwell; one son: Christopher Lee Darnell of Texas; two brothers: Mike Ivey and wife Nancy of Tennessee and Tony Ivey of Florida; one sister: Kathy Gray-Marchant of Texas; four grandchildren: Tiffany Fiddler-Rapp, Jennifer Montoya, Ireland Darnell and Zealand Darnell; four great grandchildren: Sylar Barbian, Lumen Fiddler-Rapp, William Montoya and Elena Montoya and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: Clyde Ivey, Jr. , Sammy Ivey and Albert Ivey.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
