Carol Ann Jeffery Cooper
of Calico Rock, Arkansas
Carol Ann Jeffery Cooper, daughter of the late Samuel Jeffery and Ernestine Hanks Jeffery, was born June 24, 1944 in Mount Olive, Arkansas. She departed this life December 20, 2025 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 81. Carol spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, teacher, homemaker and friend. Carol was married to Carl Cooper for 36 years. Carol spent forty years as a high school teacher and 38 years as the yearbook sponsor. Her students meant a great deal to her, she took pride in the fact that she treated them like adults, rather than children. Many of those students became friends – not just students. God and family were very important to Carol. She was a long-time member of Calico Rock Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where she taught a Sunday School class for 40 years. She considered her daughters: Holly and Jessica to be treasures, as well as her parents, sisters, brother, brother-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many close friends.
Carol is survived by two daughters: Jessica Wilson McClain and husband Shad and Holly Wilson Potter, all of Calico Rock; one sister: Jeannine Faith of Mount Olive; four grandchildren: Kegan Burns, Caleb McClain, Shad Isaac McClain, Sam Potter; five great grandchildren: Dawson Burns, Zoe Burns Wortham, William Burns, Ian Burns, Emery McClain and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Carl Cooper; infant son: Stephen Wilson; siblings: David Jeffery, Kathlyn Lawson and brother-in-law: Charles Faith.
Visitation and funeral service will be Monday, December 29, 2025 at Calico Rock Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Knob Creek Cemetery.
