Carlo Joseph Catalani

Of Melbourne, Arkansas

Carlo Joseph Catalani, son of the late Louis Herbert Catalani and Guistina Marchetti Catalani, was born December 25, 1938 in Memphis, Tennessee.  He departed this life August 8, 2021 at his home in Melbourne, Arkansas at the age of 82 years, 7 months and 14 days.  He was united in marriage to Margaret Ann Jackson November 14, 1962 in Memphis Tennessee and together they raised two sons.  Carlo spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend.  Most of his working years were spent working in heating and air.  He spent many years working at Austein Mechanical Contractors in Memphis. Carlo loved to fish and hunt; enjoyed watching old western movies. He was an amateur radio operator (call sign AE4SO). He was a member of the Ruthie Mountain Volunteer Fire Department which he thoroughly enjoyed. He was of the Catholic faith.

Carlo is survived by his wife of 58 years:  Margaret Catalani of the home; two sons:  Michael Catalani and wife Kristi of Melbourne and David Catalani of Collierville, Tennessee; six grandchildren:  Leslie Bates, Emily Catalani, Taylor Park, Sara Cleveland, Knox Cleveland and Kirk Cleveland; two great granddaughters:  Kali Cleveland and Penelope Rhea and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Serafino "Sam" Catalani and Louis Catalani.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 14 at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m.  Graveside funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Combs Cemetery.
