Carl Lewis Pool

Of Calico Rock, Arkansas

Carl Lewis Pool, son of the late Russell Pool and Nettie Young Pool, was born August 20, 1949 in Culp, Arkansas.  He departed this life December 15, 2024 in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 75 years, 3 months and 25 days.  Carl proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  He spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, provider and friend.  Carl retired from Union Pacific Railroad after 37 years of employment. He was united in marriage to Deborah Moody December 22, 1984 and together they raised their combined family in Calico Rock.

Carl is survived by his wife of 39 years:  Deborah Pool of Calico Rock; four children: Jarred Pool (Jackie) of Mountain Home, Jason Pool (Melissa) of Yellville, Ray Dudgeon (Dana) of Mountain Home,
Toni Hamby (Scott) of Pineville; three brothers:  Chester Pool (Pat) of Dolph, Joe Pool (Mary) of Bakersfield, Missouri, Michael Pool (Patsy) of Norfork; four sisters:  Alta Wise of Calico Rock, Nona Bolinger of Springfield, Missouri, Reba Anderson (Jack) of Pineville, Janie Tabor (Dewaine) of Theodosia, Missouri; ten grandchildren:  Ethan Hamby, Maggie Wilcox, Molly Ambort, Jaclyn Hamby, Alivia Strain, Reagan Pool, Tanner Pool, Jacob Dudgeon, Paxton Pool, Drea Pool; seven great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers:  Frankie Pool, James "Cricket" Pool and Steven Pool.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 19 from 5-7 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.  Graveside funeral service with military honors will be Friday, December 20 at 2:00 p.m. at Galatia Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home.
