Carl James Moody

of Pineville, Arkansas

Carl James Moody, son of the late Clifton Leffell Moody and Hattie Lorene Killian Moody, was born July 15, 1948 at Crossroads, Arkansas. He departed this life June 12, 2019 in Calico Rock, At the age of 70 years, 10 months and 28 days. He spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend. During his working years, Carl was employed for Whitfield Farm Supply in Midway, Arkansas. He retired after 30 years of employment. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Wises Chapel Baptist Church.

Carl is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Therisa Crotts and husband Charlie of Elizabeth; one son: Bobby Gray and wife Melissa Parker of Mountain Home; three brothers: Floyd Moody, Raymond Moody, Clifton Moody, Jr all of Pineville; two sisters: Patsy Belding of Jordan and Ann Collins and husband Willie of Tecumseh, Missouri; three grandchildren: Dustin Ray Gray and wife Mandy, Robert Stone and wife Kristi and Haley Crotts; four great grandchildren: Brylee Gray, Weston Gay, Brently Gray, River Stone; his former wife: Beverly Jo Gray of Mountain Home and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: George Moody and Donald Moody.

Visitation will be Friday, June 14 from 6-8 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Graveside funeral service will be Saturday, June 15 at 10:00 a.m. at Wises Chapel Cemetery (aka Crossroads Cemetery) near Pineville with Marty Sanders officiating.

Pallbearers: Charlie Crotts, Orville Crotts, Lee Moody, Larry Moody, Terry Seay, Darrell Killian.
