Calvin Don Wilson, Sr.

Of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas

Calvin Don Wilson, Sr., son of the late William Thomas Wilson and Pauletta Coker Wilson, was born June 29, 1950 in Love Hollow, Arkansas.  He departed this life September 10, 2023 at his home in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas at the age of 73 years, 2 months and 13 days.  He was united in marriage to Linda Farris February 18, 1981 in Texas.  Calvin spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, stepfather, provider and friend.  He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years:  Linda Wilson of the home; two sons:  Calvin Don Wilson, Jr. and wife Marcy of Horseshoe Bend and David Lee Wilson and wife Lacey of Franklin; two stepchildren:  Charles Edward Godfrey and wife Brandy of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee and Leslie Acup and husband Jim of Horseshoe Bend; two sisters:  Brenda Moore of Rogers and Rita Overton and husband Robert of Siloam Springs; fifteen grandchildren:  Chaz Godfrey, Allen Godfrey, Cody Godfrey, Kaylee Bishop, Cameron Wilson, Christopher Wilson, Conan Wilson, Jaycee Wilson, Jacob Wilson, Cole Brakebill, Dakota Brakebill, Kathleen Vest, Kimberly Smith, Bradley Smith, Breanna Smith; three great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers:  David Wilson and Buddy Wilson and two sisters:  Lucille Knight and Nita Wilson.

The family will be holding a private memorial service at a later date.
