Buford Adam Boyd

Of Pineville, Arkansas

Buford Adam Boyd, son of Buford Dale Boyd and Janet Plasterer Boyd, was born June 18, 1970 in Kennett, Missouri.  He departed this life September 1, 2023 in Cabot, Arkansas at the age of 53.  He was a graduate of Newark High School and went on to work at Gen Corp in Batesville.   He was employed by the Arkansas Department of Corrections McPherson Women's Unit in Newport, attaining the rank of Lieutenant. He owned and operated Calico Rock Mobile Home Sales. At the time of his death, he worked as a boilermaker for Universal Plant Services. He was united in marriage to Shelly Smoot Boyd June 3, 2017.

Adam is survived by his wife of six years:  Shelly Boyd of the home; one son:  Brody Boyd and wife Cheyenne of Calico Rock; two bonus daughters:  Sidney Walters and husband Dylan of Yukon, Oklahoma; bonus granddaughter: Vada Lynn and Shelby Walters of Fayetteville; his parents:  Dale and Janet Boyd of South Haven, Michigan; one sister:  Mary Lynn Friddle and husband Jarrett of Cabot; nephew:  Harrison Boyd Friddle of Cabot; niece:  Corbin Drew Friddle of Cabot; great niece:  Camryn Boyette; his aunts and uncles:  Michelle Boyd and Patsy and Donnie Hoyt all of South Haven, Michigan, Bill Schonshack of Surprise, Arizona and Bernell Boyd and Sheila Boyd of Mountain View and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents:  Buford and Evelyn Boyd; his maternal grandparents:  Floyd and Virginia Plasterer; aunts and uncles:  Sue Schonshack, Patricia Copeland, Walter Lee Boyd and a cousin: Teresa Ann Ryan.

Memorial service will be Friday, September 8 at 11:00 a.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock with Wade Moser and Shelly Boyd officiating.  A private family burial will be at Spring Creek Cemetery.
