Brenda Wildhagen Nichols

Of Oxford, Arkansas

Brenda Wildhagen Nichols, daughter of the late Christian Leon Wildhagen, Jr. and Bernice Storrud Wildhagen, was born June 29, 1946 in Fargo, North Dakota.  She departed this life July 10, 2025 in Salem, Arkansas at the age of 79.  Brenda was united in marriage to Lloyd Nichols October 23, 1965 in St. Joseph, Missouri and together they raised four children.  Brenda spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend.  She worked as a licensed practical nurse and was an accomplished wildlife artist.  She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Oxford Baptist Church.

Brenda is survived by her husband of 59 years:  Lloyd Nichols of the home; four children:  LeAnne Lager and husband Anthony of Maryville, Missouri,  Darcy Curtiss and husband Kevin of Alburquerque, New Mexico, Nathan Nichols and wife Kassandra of Maysville, Missouri and Matthew Nichols and wife Paula of Milan, Missouri;  three brothers:  Christian Leon Wildhagen, III of St. Joseph, Missouri, Arnold Wildhagen (Gayle) of Greenbrier and Eric Wildhagen (Cindy) of Calico Rock; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother:  Noel Wildhagen; two sisters-in-law:  Linda Wildhagen and Candy Wildhagen.

Visitation and funeral service will be Tuesday, July 15 at Oxford Baptist Church.  Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m.   Funeral service will begin at 10:00 with Don Clayton officiating.  Burial will follow at Wideman Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Jared Everett, Dean Felton, Quinton Wildhagen, Steven Hix, Zack Hix, Adam Hall.
