Bonnie L. Hellums

Of Salem, Arkansas

Bonnie L. Hellums, daughter of the late James Troy Hellums and Melba Ray Owens Hellums, was born January 7, 1947 in Brockwell, Arkansas.  She departed this life January 2, 2024 in Salem, Arkansas at the age of 76 years, 11 months and 26 days. Bonnie spent her life as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker and friend.  Most of her working years, were spent as a certified nurse's aide.

She is survived by one son:  Joseph Duncan and wife Kimisue Hipp-Duncan of Cave City; three brothers:  Stevie Hellums and wife Ann of Kansas City, Missouri, Leon Hellums and wife Bertha of Melbourne and Rick Hellums and wife Teresa of Salem; five grandchildren:  Derek Brandenburg, Keasha Brandenburg, Cassie McLaughlin, Joe Duncan, Autumn Duncan and a host of other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers:  James Hellums and Albert Hellums and one sister:  Louise Melton.

The family will be having a private memorial service at a later date.
