Bonnie Loucinda Franks
Of Calico Rock, Arkansas
Bonnie Loucinda Franks, daughter of the late James Winford "Sock" Franks and Estha Mae Curtis Franks, was born December 14, 1961 at home on Sugarloaf Mountain. She departed this life, about 100 feet from where she was born on December 17, 2024 at the age of 63 years. Bonnie was a lifelong resident of Calico Rock. She spent all her working years as a builder or carpenter of some fashion and was the owner and operator of Baz Badazz Construction Crew. She and her crew built many homes in this area that will stand for years as a tribute to her fine work. She was employed for several years at Calico Rock Hospital in the Maintenance Department. She built lifelong relationships with those employees and Dr. Meryl and Gladys Grasse. She was blessed with a community of friends and considered one of her greatest roles in life was to be a friend. She was a founding member of an elite group known as the "Wild Sows". This group of women shared many adventures. Bonnie spent her life as a second mother to her nieces and nephews and was loved dearly by all of them.
Bonnie is survived by her brother: Tom Franks; her sister: Connie (Jeff) Whiteaker; sister-in-law: Cathy Franks all of Calico Rock; nieces and nephews: Christine Franks of Calico Rock, Billy Bob (Jessica) Franks of Calico Rock, Shannon (John) Scott of Calico Rock, Holly (Eric) Edwards of Damascus, Tyler (Jessica) Whiteaker of Barney, Samantha Mae Franks of Calico Rock, Jennifer (Jamie) Britt of Cabot; great nieces and nephews: Jarret Moorehead, Josh Moorehead, Levi Roof, Ty Franks, Payton Franks, Lexxy Scott, Triston Scott, Dillon Thornley, Ella Thornley, Macy Whiteaker, Elijah Whiteaker, Augustus Cox, Destiny Britt, Devon Britt; her devoted dogs: Milly and Pretty Girl, who were by her side on the good and days; and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Bill Franks, Bob Franks and one nephew: Rusty Franks.
Visitation and funeral service will be held at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Visitation will be Thursday, December 26 from 5-7 p.m. Funeral service will be Friday, December 27 at 10:00 a.m. with Darrell Gosser officiating. Burial will follow at Spoon Flat Cemetery.
