Bonnie Ann Langston Dawe
Of Melbourne, Arkansas
Bonnie Ann Langston Dawe, daughter of the late Truel Langston and Jewel Clark Langston, was born July
10, 1939 in West Plains, Missouri. She departed this life November 24, 2020 in Sherwood, Arkansas at
St. Vincent's hospital at the age of 81 years, 4 months and 14 days. She was united in marriage to
Thomas Lee Dawe, Jr of Thayer, Missouri and together they raised three sons. In 1977 Bonnie enrolled
in the first Licensed Practical Nursing cohort at Ozarka College, graduating as a Licensed Practical Nurse
(LPN). She went on to earn a Registered Nurse (RN) License in St. Louis. Bonnie spent her life as a loving
daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. In addition to her nursing
career she established and owned several women's clothing stores in the Kansas City area. She was very
proud to be near and involved with Ozarka College the past decade where she began her nursing career.
Bonnie is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law: Dr. Richard and Christine Dawe of
Melbourne, Thom III and Gail Dawe of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Jon Dawe of Collierville, Tennessee;
two sisters: Carolyn Langston of Melbourne and Sandra Bradshaw of Marathon, Florida; ten
grandchildren: Richard Dawe, Jr (Amber), Stephanie Shine (John), Alyssa Burleson (Roman), Gabrielle
Dawe, Jordan Dawe, Jacqueline Dawe, Joseph Dawe, Sophie Dawe, Hannah Potts and Grant Bengtson;
four great grandchildren: Isabella Dawe, Savannah Shine, Jackson Shine and Oliver Burleson. Bonnie
was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
