Bobby Joe Rush
of Melbourne, Arkansas

Bobby Joe Rush, son of the late Allen Rush and Nancy Jones Rush, was born September 9, 1941 in Izard County, Arkansas. He departed this life January 9, 2022 in Melbourne, Arkansas at the age of 80 years and 4 months. He was united in marriage to Shirley Keylon June 2, 1964 and together they raised four sons. Bobby spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, uncle, father, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend. Most of his working years, Bob was employed by Boeing Aircraft, retiring after 33 years of employment. He enjoyed farming, tending to his cows and gardening. Bob was of the Baptist faith.

Bob is survived by his wife of 57 years: Shirley Rush of the home; three sons: Scotty Rush and wife Sherry of Salt Lake City, Utah, Steven Rush and wife Kim of Melbourne and Chad Rush and wife Jessica of Mount Pleasant; one brother: W. D. Rush and wife Jo Ella of Wenatchee, Washington; six grandchildren: Brittany (Lane) Pack of Denver, Colorado, Layna (Skye) Carter of Melbourne, Jared Taylor of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Maicie Rush of Melbourne,  Nicholas (Kyla) Rush of Melbourne, Dakota (Melissa) of Salt Lake, City, Utah; three great grandchildren: Caroline Carter, Addison Rush and Camilla Carter; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son: Brad Joel Rush; six brothers: Otho Rush, Louis Rush, V.T. Rush, Cub Rush, Babe Rush and Burt Rush and two sisters: Viernie Stacy and Adean Enwright.
