Bobby Lee Brooks

Of Mount Pleasant, Arkansas

Bobby Lee Brooks, the fourth son of the late Jack and Rintha Campbell Brooks, was born March 30, 1954 in Batesville, Arkansas.  He departed this life May 12, 2021 in Ash Flat, Arkansas at the age of 67 years, 1 month and 11 days.  Bobby was a lifetime resident of Arkansas. After graduating from Mount Pleasant High School, he went to work at Silica Products in Guion.  Later he took a position with the Mount Pleasant School system. He loved his job and made many lifelong friends at the school.   Bobby was a big sports fan and loved watching Razorback football and basketball.  His favorite professional teams were the Kansas City Chiefs and St. Louis Cardinals.  He also enjoyed watching television westerns and The Price is Right, gameshow.  When it came to eating, he loved cheeseburgers and McDonald apple pie.

Bobby is survived by two brothers:  Chris Brooks and wife Kathy of Williford, Carl Lee Campbell and wife Molly of Springdale; one sister:  Anneta Russell and husband Wayne of Mountain View; six nieces and nephews: Nidgmeh Johnson, Vera Stanely, Alma Sanchez, Gee Gee Pickett, Jessica Johnson, Nina Sanchez; one nephew:  Pablo Snachez; one aunt:  Sue Campbell of Mountain View and a host of other relatives and many lifelong friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his maternal grandparents:  Lee and Betty Campbell; his paternal grandparents:  Luke and Isabella Brooks; two brothers:  Jackie Lee Brooks, Donald Gene Brooks and several aunts and uncles.

Visitation and funeral service will be Saturday, May 15 at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.  Visitation will be from 11 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.   Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Larry Sellers officiating.  Burial will be at Reeves Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to:  Reeves Cemetery Maintenance Fund, C/O Delena Condrey, 34 Locust Street, Melbourne, AR 72556.
