Bobbie was born on September 2, 1933, in a house on Moccasin Creek near Iuka, Arkansas in Izard County to parents Albert and Mellie McClellan. She attended and graduated from Calico Rock High School and was a Christian and a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Batesville.

She was also an "acting" assistant coach often throwing batting practice in the backyard while also offering advice on her boys' performances after games.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Zelphrie Rush, sisters Thelma Whitecotton of Manteca Ca., Lula Belle Laffoon of Kahoka, Mo., and Johnny McClellan of Norman Ok. She is survived by four sons, Michael Rush (Tracy) of Southern Pines, N.C., Mark Rush (Lolita) of Batesville, Kevin Rush of Batesville and Kelly (Becky) of Batesville. Bobbie was blessed with four grandchildren; Halle Henderson  (Jake), Lexi Rush, twins Tyas and Taylor Rush and a brother, Gary McClellan of Mountain Home, Ar. and a great-granddaughter, Holland Joelle Henderson of Batesville.
