John Gibson "Bo" Morris

of Melbourne, Arkansas

John Gibson "Bo" Morris, son of the late Charles H. Morris and Bessie Hall Morris, was born January 4, 1931 in Afton, Texas. He departed this life October 19, 2019 in Batesville, Arkansas at the age of 88 years, 9 months and 15 days. He was united in marriage to Charlene Dunn December 5, 1958 in Boswell, Arkansas and to this union two children were born. Bo spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend. During his working years, he was employed by McDonnell Douglas Aircraft in Melbourne. He was of the Baptist faith. Bo was a member of Melbourne Masonic Lodge #141.

Bo is survived by his wife of 61 years: Charlene Morris; one daughter: Debbie Phipps; one son and daughter-in-law: David and Bobbi Morris all of Melbourne; one brother: Bob Morris and wife Marie of Melbourne; four grandchildren: Kendra Farmer, Lindsey Phipps, Travis Phipps and Justin Bishop; five great grandchildren: Lucas Farmer, Ellie Farmer, Ella Farmer, Seth Morris Bishop and Kiara Bishop and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: three brothers: Darrell "Cotton" Morris, Don Morris and Jimmy Morris; four sisters: Veda Murchison, Wynona McGraw, Faye Salazar and Judy Lawrence.

Visitation will be Monday, October 21 from 6-8 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 22 at 10:00 a.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Burial will be at Lunenburg Cemetery.
