Billy Wayne Craig

Of Mount Pleasant, Arkansas

Billy Wayne Craig, son of the late J.D. Craig and Ziller Chappell Craig, was born February 2, 1956 in Mount Pleasant, Arkansas.  He departed this life October 13, 2024 in Batesville, Arkansas at the age of 68 years, 8 months and 11 days.  Billy was a lifelong resident of Mount Pleasant.  He spent his life as a loving son, brother, nephew, uncle and friend.  During his working years, Billy was a diesel mechanic. Billy loved spending time outdoors, especially deer hunting. He was of the Baptist faith.

Billy is survived by two siblings:  Virgil Craig (Mary Williams) and Ann Beck (Dennis Mitchell) all of Mount Pleasant; four nieces and nephews:  Randall Craig (Teresa), Amanda Cartwright, Brandon Williams, Amanda Edwards, four great nephews:  Kilynn Dugger, Caiden Cartwright, Jayse Bailey, Slade Parker; numerous special cousins and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother-in-law:  Dave Beck and nephew:  Lee Luttrell.

Graveside funeral service will be Friday, October 18 at 2:00 p.m. at Reeves Cemetery with Darrell Liles officiating under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
